Practice & professional activity:
Liran Chechick and Nitzan Kalush chechick are individual architects collaborating since 2004.
They investigate innovative architecture in the context of contemporary life and its dynamics. Their work is characterized by a particular experimental approach and by an independent research. They are engaged in various projects for both private and public clients, as well as national and international competitions and urban research.
Lately, the collaboration has led to an international recognition as they have been chosen by the Israeli Science and Culture Ministry to represent Israel at the 2008 Architecture Biennale in Venice together with artist Michal Cederbaum.
Other achieved acknowledgments are: 2007 – The office has been short listed for the international design competition of a tourist attraction landmark Sela observatory in Jerusalem.
2007 - Honorable mention international competition for the new campus for Bezalel Jerusalem city center.
2004 - 2nd prize "Israeli architecture" magazine national competition – urban planning of Jerusalem city center including the supreme curt complex.
2001 - 3rd prize international competition" The Mediterranean city".
2000 - Excellence in design award from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
